Aunt Beverly

In January 2019 I visited you in Black Mountain.  It was my first visit since you moved there and I had not seen you in over 10 years.  You took me around town and we visited Black Mountain Presbyterian Church.  You were so proud of your community and church family.  You were obviously happy and very content.  In May 2021, Lenora and I visited and after months of thought, you took us up on our offer to move east and live with us in Johnston County.  Your health had declined a bit, but you were still the feisty independent aunt that I remembered.  In 2007 you helped take care of my ailing mother and I wanted to return the favor.  Thank you Aunt Beverly for allowing me to spend time with you in your final months.  We talked so much during this period and I learned things about my parents that I had not heard before.  You will always be a guiding force and inspiration for things still on my bucket list for we had so much in common.  Rest well Aunt Bev.
